been thinking...

Still trying to find my way around - bit of a blog virgin.  Think i'll spend some time looking for inspiration by seeking out a few like-minded souls.  Did get out for a run last night (slow and steady, nothing special) which raised spirits.

Can't quite get my head round pouring out my heart to the entire world, which is where i think i want to go rather than publishing recipes for sponge cake or stuffing 10,000 images of my babies into galleries for all to admire, especially as i don't have any recipes or babies.  Actually i do have a recipe for an especially good banana cake, so i've only been a blogger for less than a week and i'm already telling lies.

Don't give up on me, i promise it will get better than this.  Just give me time to find my feet...

Ha ha! Today's recipe: Take a nice green apple, cut off the top and put to one side; remove most of the core, being careful not to go all the way through, discard; now stuff the caity (oh no - please no!) with your favourite blue cheese (a nice bit of stilton, perhaps, or gorgonzola, if you feel brave), add some brown sugar and/or a little marsala or other sweet wine (not important that bit, it just came to me on a whim), replace the apple top and put in the microwave for about 1 min (experiment!) until the apple begins to soften. Mmmm, so yummy i could almost think it was healthy!

Thank you for your post BTW - I don't think there is any kind of fan club, except in my head! I am thinking of starting a fanzine blog, though, where we can discuss some of the posts 'off-blog', as some of the advice and comments are, IMHO, spurious, unhelpful, and far more sententious than anything that i could write!!

I look forward to reading more from you, and am trying to find something to write about myself, other than losing my BF, and all the grief and other tedious bollox! Or perhaps that will make a good start? Any suggestions ('bugger off and save the web for more tendentious dross' is quite acceptable!)
